Please note the final day for sending in applicatin for consideration in the 3rd Quarter (September/October 2010) is Friday 27 August 2010. Please note the Culture Fund aacepts applications through out the year but funding is disbursed during the 1st and 3rd Quarters of every year. |

The annual Zimbabwe International Film Festival (ZIFF) kicks off on Friday the 27th of August up to the 5th of September 2010. The Official Opening Night Ceremony will be held on 28th of August at the 7Arts Cinema. ZIFF is being honoured by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesian with the film The Dreamer, kicking off the festival in high spirits. Courtesy of the embassy will be the presence of the lead actor of the film Lukman Sadi as well as the director of the film, Riri Reza. They will be available after the opening to give talks on the Indonesian film industry. |

Animation 101 – Session 1 |

The Joint Afrikan Animation Group (JAAG) will be holding an Introduction to animation workshop geared specifically towards the young on 2 September 2010 from 10:00 to 12:00 at ZIFF (2 Cantebury Road, Kensington). Animation 101 – For the young is open to children from the ages of 10 to 16. Focus will be on introducing the concepts and processes used in animation using examples from local animators who will be facilitating the workshop. |
